Senior Firmware Development Engineer (permanent)

You will join a multi-skilled team of engineers where you will get to grips with a broad mix of technology and get involved in all aspects of the project lifecycle from rough and ready prototypes to production machines.
What we are looking for:
Good all round knowledge of Engineering with several years of relevant experience.
Degree Educated (2:1 minimum).
Proactive and innovative.
Ability to integrate with a multiskilled team (e.g. hardware, software, physics, optics, chemistry).
Capable of taking ownership of designs and leading technically when necessary.
You will be involved in specifying, designing and testing systems which incorporate:
- Microcontrollers (Microchip PICs, ST ARM Processors).
- C based firmware.
- Interfacing with a mixture of Analogue and Digital components e.g. Lighting, Motor and Temperature Control, LCDs, Cameras, USB,
- I2C, SPI, Bluetooth.
Beneficial, but not essential, experience includes:
- Hardware design and Interpreting circuit schematics.
- Visual Studio.
- C++/C#.net application software for embedded applications running on Windows or Linux.
- A familiarity with machine vision & camera interfacing.
- Experience of design for low to medium volume manufacturing.
